DivX Author is a complete application for authoring DVDs, able to convert video files to DivX format, edit them, combine movies, cut unnecessary fragments, and much more. Everything you need to create your DVDs.

With DivX Author you can create movies with animated menus in DVD style, chapters, personalized subtitles or even audio tracks. You will find numerous style templates, which also can be personalized and adapted to your preferences or needs. It is also posible to create slideshows. As entry formats, DivX Author, in addition to the classics, also accepts QuickTime (MOV, QT), audio tracks (MP3, MP2, WMA, AC3, WAV) and images (JPEG, BMP, PNG, PSD, WMF, EMF).

Once you have created your movie, you can preview it in simulation form, and later convert it to DivX format, optimized to the size supported by DVD, CD or any other you can think of. DivX Author can convert all the popular video formats, so many steps aren't necessary. The resulting video can be watched in any PC, or a domestic DivX player.
